Please Welcome Sarah Grimm to Friendship Friday
Please tell us a little bit about yourself: Thank you for inviting me to visit with you today, Rue. I’m Sarah Grimm and I’m a romantic—a die hard romantic. I believe in love, not just as a fundamental part of human relationships, but as a force that can heal emotional scars. I truly believe there is someone for everyone—the person they are meant to find. Their other half, a soul mate. I live in West Michigan, along the shore of Lake Michigan, with my husband of 20 years, and two teenage sons. I write sizzling, dangerously sexy contemporary romance and romantic suspense—no intimacy hidden ‘behind closed doors’ in my books. Nope, with me you get detailed, explicit love scenes.
Please tell us about your most recent release: My most recent release, After Midnight, is book one in my “Midnight” series. It’s a story that is near and dear to me. The story of Isabeau Montgomery, owner of Izzy’s Bar, child prodigy and piano phenom—a woman who hides behind a lie of her own making. It’s been described as “a haunting, emotional story of finding love and redemption when you least expect it.” Beginning today, After Midnight is being offered for $0.99! The sale will only last until February 8 so don’t miss out! You can find it at Amazon http://amzn.to/11kD7JS or Barnes & Noble http://bit.ly/TNBRdL A blurb and more are included below the interview.
Now for the ‘weird’ questions. Here are Sarah’s answers.
What would you want to be written on your tombstone? ‘Well This Sucks’
The person you would never want to meet? The Boogeyman. I am surprised I haven’t run into him yet. After all he lives in my basement.
The size of your hard-disc? 1000 gigs, Baby!
What were you doing at midnight last night? Um…sleeping with my husband. Yeah, that’s it, ‘sleeping’. LOL
You can press a button that will make any one person explode. Who would you blow up? The list is too long to pick just one. Most are in Washington.
You can flip a switch that will wipe any band or musical artist off the earth? Lady Gaga. I don’t know what it is about her, but no thanks.
What is your favorite expletive? Asshat
The Celestial Gates Of Beyond have opened, much to your surprise because you didn’t think such a thing existed. Death appears. As it turns out, Death is actually a pretty cool entity, and happens to be in a fantastic mood. Death offers to return the friend/family-member/person/etc. of your choice to the living world. Who will you bring back? My grandfather.
After Midnight Blurb:
Thirteen years—that’s how long Isabeau Montgomery has been living a lie. After an automobile accident took her mother’s life, Izzy hid herself away, surviving the only way she knew how. Now she is happy in her carefully reconstructed life. That is until he walks through the door of her bar…
Black Phoenix singer/front man Noah Clark came to Long Island City with a goal–one that doesn’t include an instant, electric attraction to the dark-haired beauty behind the bar. Coaxing her into his bed won’t be easy, but he can’t get her pale, haunted eyes nor her skill on the piano out of his head.
Can Noah help Isabeau overcome the past? Or will her need to protect her secret force her back into hiding and destroy their chance at happiness?
